Premier Healthcare Alliance President and CEO Susan DeVore Named to the
Medicare Rights Center Board of Directors
New York, NY–Susan D. DeVore, president and CEO of the Premier healthcare alliance, has joined the board of directors at the Medicare Rights Center, a national, nonprofit consumer service organization.
In her leadership role at Premier, DeVore oversees an alliance of more than 2,500 hospitals and health systems and 77,000 other health care sites, all of which collaborate on innovations to improve the quality and lower the cost of health care in America.
The Medicare Rights Center works to ensure access to affordable health care for older adults and people with disabilities through counseling and advocacy, educational programs and public policy initiatives.
“I am delighted to announce that Susan has joined our board of directors,” said Bruce C. Vladeck, board chair of the Medicare Rights Center. “The board will benefit from her proven leadership capabilities and her vision for improving access to, and the quality of, health care in this country. In addition, as Medicare Rights continues to market its education and technical assistance to businesses and professionals, Susan’s keen business acumen will be a great asset.”
“Particularly at this time in history, as the baby boomers age into Medicare by the millions and policymakers debate the future of this vital program and seek to increase value and cut health care costs, organizations like Medicare Rights are crucial,” said DeVore. “We can never stop working to make sure our health care system works for our seniors and people with disabilities on Medicare, who are some of our most vulnerable Americans.”
DeVore serves on the boards of the Healthcare Leadership Council, the Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative, and American Excess Insurance Exchange. Under her leadership, Premier has won the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, and has been named four times as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere.
