Course Description:
Medicare only covers a limited stay in a nursing home (skilled nursing facility) if you meet certain, specific coverage criteria. It is important to understand when Medicare will cover skilled nursing facility care, when it will not, your rights to care, and where else you can go for help.
To educate professionals, caregivers and people with Medicare about Medicare coverage of skilled nursing facility care, the Medicare Rights Center will be providing a free educational web seminar that will explain:
- When does Medicare pay for skilled nursing home care?
- How much coverage does Medicare pay for?
- How do you get Medicare-covered care in a skilled nursing facility?
- What are your rights?
