The Medicare Rights federal policy team has been hard at work considering and responding to multiple U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) requests for comments on proposals regarding changes to Medicare Advantage plans and Part D as well as other regulatory and administrative issues such as Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs) and Short-term, Limited Duration Insurance.
Medicare Rights’ comments and feedback are valuable to Medicare administrators and other policymakers as they are directly informed by the issues and concerns heard every day on our national helpline and during educational presentations. With CMS’ recent release of updated payment and policy guidance for Parts C and D, the policy team will be spotlighting issues around regulatory trends, anticipated implementations, and practical changes that will affect people with Medicare and those who help them navigate coverage decisions. The policy team’s federal regulatory advocacy work—combined with its advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill—is helping to protect and strengthen the Medicare program. Medicare Rights’ policy work is made possible with support from our generous donors.
