Alan Lubin, Executive Vice President, NYSUT, and Jack Ebeler, Health Policy Consultant, To Be Honored at Medicare Rights Center's Celebration Dinner -- Maura Tierney, Emmy-Nominated Actress, Will be Special Guest --
New York, NY - The Medicare Rights Center will honor Alan Lubin, Executive Vice President of New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) and a member of the board of the Medicare Rights Center, and Jack Ebeler, health policy consultant and Distinguished Visitor at the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University, at its Celebration Dinner 2008 at the Tribeca Rooftop on Wednesday, November 12, at 6:00 pm.
Emmy-nominated actress Maura Tierney ("Abby" on the television series ER, and currently appearing on Broadway in Three Changes) will be a Special Guest.
This year's Celebration Dinner will also feature a silent auction. The auction includes a wide array of items, including a week-long retreat at a luxury home in Ireland, a tasting dinner with matching wines for two at a Michelin 3-star restaurant, jewelry and art. All proceeds from the auction and dinner will go towards the Medicare Rights Center, a national nonprofit consumer service organization that works to ensure access to affordable health care for older adults and people with disabilities through counseling and advocacy, educational programs and public policy initiatives.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception at 6:00, to be followed by dinner at 7:00.
