Sumaya Hossain joined the Medicare Rights Center in November 2024. As an Education Associate, she develops content for Medicare Interactive and creates comprehensive training materials for diverse consumer and professional audiences. She works in collaboration with the Education department and legal counsel to ensure that these educational resources are both consumer-friendly and legally accurate. Additionally, Sumaya assists beneficiaries with Medicare related inquiries on the Medicare Rights Center’s national helpline. She comes to the Medicare Rights Center with a deep-rooted passion for making health care more accessible for all.

Sumaya graduated from Barnard College with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Psychology. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and traveling.

The Medicare Rights Center is a national, nonprofit consumer service organization that works to ensure access to affordable health care for older adults and people with disabilities through counseling and advocacy, educational programs, and public policy initiatives.

Since 1989, we’ve been helping people with Medicare understand their rights and benefits, navigate the Medicare system, and secure the quality health care they deserve. We strive to be the most reliable source of independent, unbiased Medicare information in the United States.
